Barbarian Priestess

This is one of the figures that I painted at the start of a session to warm up before doing one I want to do well. It still came out nicely.

This one is one of many things (minis, dice, scenery, books, etc.) that have found a home in my house over the years after people left our gaming group.

Ranger

This is one of the first figures that I painted. He’s the stereotypical ranger, but that is what I was going for.

I think the face looks a lot like Rene Auberjonois (Odo from Deep Space Nine).

Space Amazon

For reasons I never looked into, the Mordheim Amazon kit included these two futuristic looking pistols as hand options, so I created this figure.

I converted the bare skin into a metallic green, skintight bodysuit, and the accents to brass, but otherwise is is the same figures as the Amazon Warrior I posted.

Assassin

This figure represents a glorious TPK (total party kill). The inquisition team in our Dark Heresy game was sent to a space station. In the course of the investigation, several team members were killer wounded by genestealers before the last three encountered the true monster. Two engaged it directly. The assassin shot with his two sniper rifles. He shot and killed he one team member, and then shot and wounded the other (two critical failures). He did kill the monster, but then critically failed first aid, killing the other team member and causing an explosion that killed him as well.

Action Hero

This is one of a bunch of figures I bought to have NPCs for various games. After the paint, he looks a lot like a young James Coburn.

Mercenary

This is another figure I bought to have NPCs for games. He reminds me of Edward Blake, the Comedian in the Watchmen movie.

Amazon Warrior

Sometimes you just have to do a certain figure with a certain paint job. I had that kit of Mordheim Amazons for a couple of years before I assembled them, and the more time passed before I painted this one.

The colors are actually based on images I have seen of Mezoamerican warriors.

Dygantakit

Dygantakit is the world renowned dwarven archaeologist and author. His exploits have been told in every inn and tavern he has ever been to. And he has plenty of copies of his book in his Handy Haversack. Yours for just 10 gold, autograph included!

Dygantakit is another figure that matched my character concept perfectly. His fancy clothes and monocle speak to his success. The red purple with the ruffled shirt suggest an extrovert.

Lady Francesca

Lady Francesca (“Frankie”) is a paladin of Therin sent to retrieve the Mask of Death. With her cleaving longsword, she cuts swaths through the forces of evil, while her Lions Head shield adds an unexpected bite attack to the unwary.
