They found him, and his roommate, William, living in a luxurious and tastefully decorated townhouse. Tait was a successful corporate lawyer; his luxurious townhouse was easily worth more than a million dollars. Continue reading “At Your Door September 14, 2017”

Private Investigator Connor Myarc, archaeologist Eric Slater and veterinarian Simon Wainwright have taken a job for Robert Jatik, the famous environmental advocate and founder of Full Wilderness. The Specimen

Private Investigator Connor Myarc and archaeologist Eric Slater shared an office in the clinic of veterinarian Simon Wainwright. The three had had similar experiences with “unexplainable phenomena,” and found that their common interest, bordering on obsession in these matters, became more of a vocation as word of their investigations into the occult and similar fringe cases garnered them a reputation. At the Kovacs House

Sam, Eric and Mookie returned to the Kovacs house at 3:00.  Otis was already there, and had brought coffee and sandwiches from the church, as well as an agricultural sprayer that he said was full of holy water.  They ate the repast.    Then he informed the group that he could not in good conscience take part in the ritual itself.  Otis said some prayers for their success and left the house.   Continue reading “An Old Man’s Request: May 30, 2016”

Sam asked if Xu Wu had anything that could calm their nerves and keep them focused for their coming ordeal. She asked how he felt about facing the unknown. Sam replied that he was confident, but that not all his friends were necessarily up to the task.

At the Exotic Tea and Spice Shop

Jack Barnes at the Tikhoosue Club had suggested speaking to Sue Wu at the Exotic Tea and Spice shop behind the China Palace restaurant.  The four found their way to the restaurant, which was on the lake near the mouth of the Wooley River and the train station.  They entered the restaurant and the waitress directed them to the shop around the back.
