At the Market Near the Palais Saint-Georges

Raymond arrived at the market around 6:30 so as to get a perspective on the situation there. He purchased a meal from one of the vendors and waited for his contacts to arrive. While he was waiting, he spotted Antoinette emerging from an alley. She made her way carefully through the crowed. Raymond noticed that she appeared uncharacteristically anxious. A moment later, a well-dressed man emerged from the same alley. Raymond could tell that he was following her, and that Antoinette was aware of it.

At the Gare Routiere
Didier, Patrice and Jean disembarked from the train. They considered their options. One the one hand, they needed to meet the other team at 8:00 across the river. On the other hand, they had orders from the Gestapo to make a report at Gestapo headquarters. However, Jean and Patrice realized that the officer who had given them those instructions, had not left the train, which had since departed. Also Gestapo headquarters would take about 45 minutes to get to on foot, which would probably get them there after curfew.

In La Rochelle, Occupied France

Patrice, Didier and Jean arrived at the station separately and purchased tickets on the 6:15 train to Rennes by way of transfers at Poitiers and Le Mans. The platform in La Rochelle was not very crowded. There were a handful of other civilians, and a number of German soldiers returning from leave.

Didier offered a cigarette to one of the soldiers with a friendly greeting. The soldier accepted his and gave him a better quality cigarette in exchange. In the mean time Jean smoked quietly by himself. Patrice observed the crowd looking for anything suspicious.

Their train departed 30 minutes late at 6:44AM. They each sat in separate compartments.

At the Safe House

Norris awakened as the sun rose. No one had arrived in the night, so he decided to get some breakfast and meet his colleagues at the abandoned garage. After eating a croissant and some black coffee, he departed, catching a string of busses to get across the river.

At the Hotel de Police

Raymond went to the Hotel de Police to learn what the gendarmes knew about the art thefts. When Raymond arrived, there was a flurry of activity, but nothing noteworthy. The uninterested desk sergeant ignored him until he demanded attention. When Raymond asked for information related to the art thefts, the sergeant said that he knew nothing of it. When pressed, the sergeant asked for his name and made a call. After a short, one sided conversation, the sergeant said that Inspector Rosseau would collect him shortly.

At the Safe House
Norris arrived at the apartment just before curfew. He was greeted at the doorway by Julienne Bonnet, the concierge of their apartment building, who Laurent thought might be a potential Gestapo informant. She seemed to know when everyone was coming and going from the building, especially at night, was very observant, and asked a lot of casual questions.
